To Bob Clair,
2/21/07
I am a 52 year old male and a former athlete.
I have been a patient of Clairs Physical Therapy since Dec 18th 2006 to rehab a surgically repaired torn Quadricep tendon on my right let. Amy has been working with me and has done an excellent job of keeping focused on getting better. During my 7th week I fell down a short flight of stairs and injured my knee again. Although it was very painful it did not do any additional damage to the surgery. What it did do was to force me to take a step back in the Rehab process because of the swelling and pain. It was at this time the “Cold Laser” was used. We had to wear some protective goggles but I never felt anything or saw any light. The treatment got me about 50% relief the first time and I had 3 follow up treatments to completely eliminate the swelling and pain.
If you have swelling and/or pain I would recommend the Cold Laser

Bob,
First, I want to thank you for your expertise and direction in my recent treatment for neck and shoulder spasms. This was my third time to be treated at Clair’s and I was used to the exercise program and the benefits of the ultrasonic that brings relief, but I was definitely surprised by the new Cold Laser. With one application I experienced a final release from the tension and muscle cramping that seemed to cycle again and again. I am very appreciative to receive the benefits of this new treatment and feel confident if needed I can depend on you to continue to see the possibilities for better treatments to combine with traditional modalities.
Thank you for helping me to find that relief.
Best Regards,
Belva

Regarding the Benefits of Low Level Laser Therapy
April 7, 2007
I was unsuccessfully treated with oral steroids for pain and swelling in the A-1 pulley of my left hand. After several laser treatments I am as good as new! I am so very pleased I was able to avoid painful injections and possible surgery on my hand. I would recommend to anyone that they try laser therapy before any invasive treatment attempts! Bob Clair, and his team, has my sincerest appreciation for the wonderful care they provided me!

On the evening of March 12, 2006 I was walking my dogs and they saw a rabbit and chased it. I stepped between the lawn and the sidewalk and my foot made a very strange
cracking sound. I walked home in more pain with each step. I tried to put ice on my foot and keep it elevated until April 16, 2006 when I went to E-Care. E-Care told me that my foot was not broken, but with the swelling and pain they gave me Vicodin and sent me home.
On April 21, 2006 I went to the Orthopedic Associates of North Texas who then told me that yes the foot was broken in two places and put me in a walking cast and more pain medication. I tried to go to physical therapy, but after the first visit I was in so much pain I knew I could not continue. They sent me for an MRI on June 12, 2006 that was clear and showed nothing abnormal.
On August 2, 2006 I went to Texas Diagnostic Imaging and they did an ultrasound on my foot and found nothing wrong, but decided that I might be suffering from RSD. They wanted to send me for some nuclear medicinc testing, but I was not comfortable with him and decided to find a new doctor.
I then contacted Baylor Health Care and saw Dr. Haynsworth, who said that at his point it appeared that I had a classic case of RSD. The pain, swelling and redness were constant
at this point. He then did a nerve block on two different occasions, the first of which seemed to help the second did nothing for me. These were both done in the month of August 2006. He then told me about a doctor that specialized in feet as this treatment didn’t appear to be working so I made the next appointment.
On August 28, 2006 I went to Plano Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Center where they fitted me for Orthodics and thought this would help relieve some of the pain. We did round after round of X-Rays to be sure there were no broken bones, and at this point I was on pain medication every six hours. I had been on crutch for four months and went to Dr. Crates to try to get some relief. I was in his office when he told me that I would need to go on pain management, which to me said I would be on drugs to help this pain the rest of my life. I was in tears and felt like it was a very bad ending to a very bad disease.
At this point Dr. Crates had another gentlemen with him who introduced himself to me as Bob and told me about a new treatment that he wanted to try with me, Cold Laser Therapy. I was so excited to try to work with this and get off the pain medication I quickly made the appointment and went to Clair Physical Therapy where they began treatment. The first treat did little more than change the color to a lesser shade of red, but to me any change was wonderful. I then began Cold Laser Treatment three days a week for a month and by that time I was off the crutches and back in my tennis shoes. It has been a very long and painful journey, but I am so lucky to have meet Bob and learned of the Cold Laser Therapy it totally gave me back my life. I am currently wearing regular shoes and do not have any swelling and have pain only when I over do it. The Cold Laser Therapy made all the difference to me!
Thank you Bob!
